Slide Show Picture Alignment

When I select 'Go" in the "Slide Show" function, No matter what setting I use i cannot get the pictures to display in the same format (landscape/portrait) that they are saved in.
Every pic goes to Portrait. Please fix this as it breaks a good program.

I need it to 'Full screen" but keep format ...

Add Text improvements

Just a couple of things to make the "Add Text" function a little nicer to use.

1. default the font size to a percentage of the image size, currently defaults to a font size of 10, so many times i'm working on a large pic and the font is not even seen. This would be great for infrequent non techo ...

XnView's tree handling should remain the same as Windows Explorer's.
That would mean it worked the same for both local and network drives. Xnview currently does not match windows explorer.

Browser tree expansion

This is hard to explain in text....

when browsing through folders each folder can be expanded by selecting the "+", if there are no more sub folder then there is no "+".

This is correct for local drives but network drives always have a "+" on the folder even when there is no more sub folders ...

Thanks Oliver, That gets me started.

The option still needs to be more visual so that you dont have to keep trying over and over to get the right position, font and font size.

Here's a couple of examples of applications that do what I am suggesting.

A graphical application:

A command line application:

Thanks for your time.

For file with or without exif.

Just to clarify, I would like an option to make a date/time stamp on the picture itself.
I need to be able to print the pictures and have the date on the print, mostly for legal reasons, so an option to embed the date/time information would be great.

The date/time ...

Add Date Stamp

A lot of the new camera's do not have date stamps on the pictures.

Sometimes it is a requirement.

A feature , in the batch conversions, to put a date/time stamp on the pictures using lossless compression with the date/time information obtained from the EXIF data (if available) or creation time ...

Problem opening some Tif files

I have a problem opening some tiff files. They appear as though the hoizontal sync is off, in both the preview and the full screen.

I would love to put an example file up but at 60meg I dont want it to be availiable to the public. Is there a direct email address that I can send a link to?

Any idea ...
