I too have been having problems with XnView 1.82.4 crashing. My experience has been similar to others, but somewhat different, so may be worth noting for trouble-shooting purposes (XP Pro SP2).
Like others, I haven't had any problems with earlier versions. I use XnView mainly from within my file ...
