Fully agree, also the image preview (before and after) is way too small in many cases.

option to show logaritmic histogram distribution
It has been a real long time since starting to use XnView, and still happy with it,
but I do have a small request:
If I use the histogram distribution, I would like to have an option to show the histogram levels in an logaritmic way,
preferably as a toggle next to the histogram window, or both at ...

XnViewMP on windows-8
On my new windows-8 (64 bit) computer
I can't seem be run XnViewMP , also file-association doesn't seem to work,
For XnViewMP I get the error message:
The application has failed to start because of its side-by-side configuration is incorrect.

Re: histogram of selection
come to think of it:
it would even make more sense that *ALL* the manipulations available for XnView would apply
to the selected area of an image, that would greatly enhance the possibilities of the program.
Maybe this wouldn't make sense for some of the manipulations,
but e.g. (auto) adjustment ...

Re: XMP Tab in browser - Let's finally bring...
Works OK with XnViewMP 0.39 on windows XP.
You have to have XMP data embedded in the image,
else there is no XMP propertie-tab

GPS geotagging
whilst in the latest version of MP it is possible to show the GPS location of the images
in Google Maps, I was wondering whether it is possible for future versions of MP

Re: 0.39 Linux: GPS tag missing in browser mode
this also seems to be the case for the windows (64 bit) version,
the thumbnail overlay icon sometimes shows the GPS flag, sometimes it doesn't.
If however the GPS info is present,
you can always see the actual location in the embedded goolge maps chart correctly.

MP 38.3 crashes
When sorting the thumb-data with the "folder" item XnView MP38.3
(and probably the older MP38 versions) crashes immediately,
sorting on all others aspects (name, size,EXIF Date, ...) causes no problem.
This crash reproduces easily.
I tested this on de windows-XP system

Re: Android and Iphone (IOS) version...
can't really say which type's,
animated gif and APNG are not one of my frequently used image-types;
I'd start with JPG,TIFF,PNG,PBM,BMP,GIF,TGA.
I think then 98% of all image-types floating around are covered,
but maybe someone else can give more statistic info on this .
