Hello Pierre, I don't know if there is a standardized XMP-field for "Labels". Here is the current download link for the manual of the image database iView, version 3.1: http://www.iview-multimedia.com/downloads/manuals/MediaPro31_Manual_Eng.pdf There, on page 64/65 and 147 it is mentioned that iVie...

Maybe I wasn't clear. I think XnView's Ratings and Color Labels should be compatible with Adobe's. So if you rate a picture with 2 or 3 Stars in Lightroom(LR), for example, XnView will see 2 or 3 Stars. Or Flags, or Dots. The name you give is not important, and that name should be customizable. For ...

Just to complement. Actually I like very much the Lightroom system on this. There are 3 flags: 'x' black flag (for rejecteds), 'p' white (for pickeds), and 'u' unflagged. (the letters are the actual keyboard shortcuts). 5 Star Ratings: 1 to 5, and 0 for unratted (the numbers are mapped to the keyboa...

I think compatibility is fundamental. However I would like to point to another thing, maybe easyer to implement. I would like to be able to customise the Color Labels DEFINITIONS, as well as the Ratings labels. Ratings are for to rate images by quality ok, but I don't divide them in: bad, below aver...

Win2k's explorer file properties> "summary" fields use alternate data streams (a NTFS feature). More information on this can be found at Wikipedia . Sure marsh. Nobody questions that. The point is that these "summary" fields are Microsoft's own metadata format, and shouldn't by no means be (mis)tak...

@ Eneraldo - thanks for your help - but it does not work the way I need it. PixVue works like many other progs - it shows on MY pc the EXIF and IPTC data. But not on a pc without PixVue installed. More helpful might be the hint from Martin --> Microsoft Digital Image Suite Never heard of it. Maybe ...

1.82.4 doesn't handle USB events
Hi everybody I've seen some old post on this issue, but it don't seems to be recognized as a bug or any solution have been presented or I fail to find it. I'm running XnView 1.82.4 on an AMD Win XP SP 2 platform, the option: "Add XnView as applications for USB events (camera, scan, ...)" is checked ...
