How to stop directory change?

Using XnView MP 0.87 64-bit on Win7 Pro SP1 64-bit. I hope I can describe this well... I use either the search function or the recurse all files function, to get a list of images showing in the right hand pane. I double-click one of the images and it opens in a new tab as a single image, where I can...

Re: Recursive view but not all files?

Did you try entire c:\ drive as mentioned? It's not working here. I'm using latest version (0.86 64-bit).

Re: Recursive view but not all files?

I don't seem to have that anywhere? What I do have: 1. Tools-> preferences-> browser-> file list-> customer filter (tab) - is set only for images (all images options are marked and greyed out. All other checkboxes are unmarked. 2. View-> Filter by-> Images 3. I select a location, say c:\, in browser...

Recursive view but not all files?

How do I get a recursive view of only the configured file types in preferences (I have all image formats selected and no others)? When I use recursive I get all files, not just the images. Thank you for help.

Re: 0.83: Search on UNC path loses pathname

I always use IP everywhere else I use UNC paths, so I did not think about trying the network name. It worked with network name. Search shows the last folder node in the previously blank area and found the files. If it is possible to have XnViewMP also work with IP in UNC path I think that would be g...

Re: 0.83: Search on UNC path loses pathname

Thank you for your reply. I am using the same steps in XnViewMP whether UNC path or local path? I am providing the path? From the local system with the files: 1. I enter path in the top pane (top area circled in screenshot). The files and subfolders in the path populate in the area below it. In abov...

0.83: Search on UNC path loses pathname

Using XnViewMP 0.83 Win7 Pro SP1 x64. Browsing UNC path on network works fine. But not possible to search? The search UI result shows the path searched as ./UI/Icons-48 instead of UNC path being browsed. Browising same file directory and searching it on computer with local files works fine. Can this...

That hasn't been the answer for me so far but I'll play with it a bit more. Thank you.

Re: XnView has stopped working - loading 25,000 jpgs

In XnView, when I bring up the search box and enter (for example) 11*.* in the filename box, the images are restricted to those filenames that start with 11, which is what I want (and expected). In XnViewMP, when I put the same criteria 11*.* in the filename box in the search panel, it brings back a...

Re: XnView has stopped working - loading 25,000 jpgs

My goal is somewhat different than that... As I am using XnView to quickly scan my security camera images, my goal is always to find a large enough size for viewing, that I can fit in static positions on the screen page size. Then I can arrow down through the images quickly to 'scan' them for scene ...

Re: XnView has stopped working - loading 25,000 jpgs

Yes folder are displayed now with Images. But you can use a custom filter (settings>filelist>Custom filter) Yes I have custom filter set to just images, nothing else, and still see the folders too. Again, not an issue, just curious if I can make it like XnView (no folder display). could you post a ...

Re: XnView has stopped working - loading 25,000 jpgs

I've almost got XnViewMP behaving like XnView did, but still struggling with a couple of things? 1. I'm not able to select Filter by -> Images. I can select "all" or "custom". So, I deselected everything except images in the filter in settings. Now only folders and images are being displayed. In XnV...

Re: XnView has stopped working - loading 25,000 jpgs

XnView is a 32bits app, so your 6gigs will not be used. Please check XnView MP 64bits Thank you, I will! I have 24G swap file in addition to 6G physical memory. Will XnViewMP, being on a 64bit system, be able to also use the swap file to extend its capacity? Or will it still only use physical memor...

XnView has stopped working - loading 25,000 jpgs

I use XnView to browse still captures (.jpg) from my security cameras, I can skim through very quickly and stop to play video only if something is of interest. XnView's many sorting options make it my preferred tool for this job. Thank you! Now the bad news. Often I am unable to use XnView. Apparent...
