Re: UI is unresponsible if opened from a folder with a large number of images

I think that it's the time to get full file list. Windows explorer opens it quickly?

Windows explorer can show files in the root folder (where the majority of files are located) instantly, but it struggles to show all sub-folders for a couple of seconds (that green progress bar appears over the ...

UI is unresponsible if opened from a folder with a large number of images

I dont think it is a new bug, i have noticed it for a while. But it is annoying.

I have like 95000 of UHD photos in one folder and when i launch XnView MP from there by clicking on some file the UI and image inside it appears instantly but the whole UI hangs and something is happening in the ...

Also it looks like the feature does not work if you have filters enabled even if its just some very simple resize filter? Too bad. :|

yes currently, i disable this option when there is actions. If you add actions, it's strange to keep original file...

I agree if you use complex filters, but ...

Re: Bug: "Keep original file when encoded result is larger" may delete your images permanently

So i tested it a bit more and it looks like the new feature SOMETIMES does not work if the extension is the same?
i.e. If i have JPGs then it will preserve new bigger files in one case... and wipe them out in other cases. :?

And for these weird files processing log can actually show positive %

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.6.4 . Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

Hmm, i tested it again in 1.6.4 and it seems to work fine? I am still a bit scared to use this new function, so i will do more testing later.

I also noticed that processing log will only list ...

You can see files in the attachments (both of them) but it is 100% repeatable on my PC ...

Re: [request] batch-convert options

A very buggy feature right now, i made one bug report here https://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=79&t=46621 and then found this thread.

I think it is a very nice addition overall, but it should not be tied to file extension or the Recycle Bin, and i assume it is bugged exactly ...

Bug: "Keep original file when encoded result is larger" may delete your images permanently

Windows 10 x64
Tested on both XnConvert 1.99 x64 and XnViewMP 1.6.3 x64
I post it here, as i use standalone XnConvert way more than similar embedded feature in XnViewMP.

1) My results with "Keep original file when encoded result is larger" are pretty underwhelming... if not say more!

Bug? Weird scrollbars inside BEFORE preview

I have Windows 10 and 4K monitor with 150% scale, idk if this is related or not, just saying.

Hello. I found some weird or maybe bugged behavior - scrollbars inside BEFORE preview. It would be easy to ignore them if there were no downsides, but they do have one negative effect - somehow they scale ...

Re: Improve Before|After view

I think the easiest way would be to click on the image to switch before and after images.
The hardest way would be to add a slider like in NVIDIA Image Comparison Analysis Tool (ICAT) for example. :D

Or just replace Before and After tabs with a single button, the button can be toggled without ...
