If I understood the question. Yes, there is good chance that I would use the category in a long term manner (tag, rating and color) and the software in a more systematic way if it was possible (and technically easy) to store taht info in the file ...

I don't find the the "category.db" file in KnView repertory (I didn,t use the category but just the tagging options)? Is it normal?
And in the 'About' it says "INI file location: G:\Documents and Settings\MyName\"? Is it the Ntuser.ini?
