Re: commandline parameter for screenshots not working

when using:
"C:\Program Files\XnViewMP\xnviewmp.exe" -capture= window ,C:\Users\XXX\Pictures\Screenshots\screenshot_##_$.png

it makes only a useless shot from the taskbar - not from the activ window. -> despite using "window" command

Thanks for the Answer!
I wrote before, just read it :-)

compare images easier by switching with keyboard or button

Hi,
I used to compare images with xn classic often and it was possible to switch 2 pictures with arrow keys very fast (if tabs above were selected)
Now with xn mp it is not as usable because I have to click with mouse in each tab (on the left side in compare mode) for switching between the two ...

Re: commandline parameter for screenshots not working

Hi there,
Is it possible to fix screenshots from an active window?
Thanks

Maybe it would also make sense to put the commands into the help section for MP

Re: commandline parameter for screenshots not working

Hello,

now I had some time to check
Naming of the file seems to be ok now

when using:
"C:\Program Files\XnViewMP\xnviewmp.exe" -capture=window,C:\Users\XXX\Pictures\Screenshots\screenshot_##_$.png

it makes only a useless shot from the taskbar - not from the activ window. (v.182)

Re: commandline parameter for screenshots not working

Thank you Pierre - much appreciated
I will have a look for the next updates and see if it works...

In the meantime I found out to get a screenshot saved (and not only in clipboard) only with Windows11 snipping tool - which is comfortable too.
(Thats the first time since I´m using Windows that you ...

commandline parameter for screenshots not working

Hello,

I´ve changed from xn classic to xn mp because it should be more modern...

Trying to create screenshots to work with a keyboard-shortcut and without starting xn mp first.
This has worked with xn classic perfectly but I can´t get it to work with mp.

If I look at about dialog/command, it ...

Re: fullscreen screenshots displayed not 100%

Hmmm... you are still not able to reproduce the issue?

With the setting in the screenshot you should be able to

try this:

open capture setup and use setting from my screenshot
click OK button
then open a (browser-) window in fullscreen
press hotkey (F10)

Re: fullscreen screenshots displayed not 100%

Hi,
no, i´ve used active window (see attachment below)

but i´ve tried it now with "desktop" and then the screenshot has the right size - this is a good solution for the problem.
anyway "active window" should work too but it delivers strange pixel sizes. (pictures have a small black frame)

Re: fullscreen screenshots displayed not 100%

UPDATE 2
i´m sorry - i´m talking about screenshots taken from fullscreen windows, not the desktop itself - i forgot to mention this.

UPDATE
while i´m writing i found out the real problem: that screenshots taken from xnview have a resolution slightly higher than desktop resolution. :x
Thats why ...

fullscreen screenshots displayed not 100%

Hi all
i often use xnview to make fullscreen screenshots.
I noticed that xnview displays these screenshots not in 100%. This results in blurred text due to the anti aliasing.

Is it possible that xnview displays fullscreen files with 100% and without antialiasing? (I dont want to deactivate ...
