nconvert export of XNView not working

Hello,

in v1.8.7 of XNViewMP, when using the batch converter (Ctrl-U) and then exporting the options for nconvert, it does not work.
For "JPEG" it seems to work fine.
For "JPEGLI" it does not give any command line options. The batch file just reads "nconvert <filename>" w/o any command line options ...

XYB color space with JPEGLI ??

Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to tell nconvert to use the XYB color space with JPEGLI?
I could not find any info in the help of the latest version (7.221).

By the way, XNViewMP (1.8.7) does not export any meaningful nconvert commandline (for JPEGLI).
The batch file just contains ...

Re: Crop for portrait mode in 1.8.6

Facing the same issue with the latest version on an updated Windows 11 PC, but not in 1.8.3.

Have a normal horizontal picture > use the Crop tool and draw a rectangle in the middle of the picture. Now use the "Swap selection width and height" button in the toolbar. In version 1.8.3 the rectangle ...

Re: 1.7.1: XnView on Windows fails to open files when total path length is longer than 512 characters

Sorry! Windows must have the "Win32 Long Paths" setting enabled for the console to create those long paths.

Here is how to enable the setting: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/51704-enable-disable-win32-long-paths-windows-10-a.html

To make things easier, I attached an archive file I created ...

1.7.1: XnView on Windows fails to open files when total path length is longer than 512 characters

XnView MP 1.7.1 - 64-bit
Windows 10 - 64-bit

Greetings! I have many images nested inside folders with long descriptive folder names. When the total path length (folder length + filename length) is over 512 characters, XNview cannot open the images when double clicked in Windows Explorer.

Here are ...

Re: How do i ADD a 'Resize' Icon and a 'Sharpen' Icon to TOOLBAR ?

select the option cmd_Resize in the toolbar settings.
However, directly adding a 'Sharpen' icon is not supported. For resizing custom toolbar icons, right-click on the toolbar, choose Customise toolbar , and enable the Large icons option for a larger size. Unfortunately, selecting a range of ...

Re: XnResize and Macos Open With

If XnResize does not appear in the "Open With" menu, you might need to reset the Launch Services on your Mac. To do this, you can use the Terminal app and run the following command
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support ...

Re: Redirect newsgroup.xnview.com to forum.xnview.com

Looks like the two URLs point to the same content, but it would be less confusing and an SEO advantage to redirect one to the other.

I.e. going to newsgroup.xnview.com should to redirect the user to forum.xnview.com.

I work at Google and I'm suggesting this because it would improve search ...

Pinch-to-zoom/two-finger scrolling support is bad

I have tried XnViewMP on Windows and Linux Gnome Wayland. On Windows, pinch-to-zoom sort of worked, but not in way I expected. I expected that the zoom would be smooth, like on Microsoft Photos. I expected two-finger panning, but MS Photos has one-finger panning. XnViewMP seems to have no panning ...

You have to select the image(s) in the browser view. That menu item is missing when displaying a single image.

Re: Copy/paste with ctrl+insert/shift+insert

I realized this is already possible with remaping of keys.
But it would be better if both options would work as is default setting system-wide, ctrl+c and ctrl+ins for copying and ctrl+v and shift+ins for pasting.

Copy/paste with ctrl+insert/shift+insert

These shortcuts are not working. They are global shortcuts everywhere in windows as alternatives to of ctrl+c/ctrl+v, but they do not seem to be working for me in XNView MP.

Can these shorcuts be added please?

Thank you.
