Re: Image Splitter
How do I convert the names to row/column instead of numbers like in Excel? For instance "A14". Thanks.

Alpha channel in contact sheet
Could you add the option to preserve the source images' alpha channels when composing a contact sheet? Thank you.

Re: Request: "Remove alpha" and "Load channel" transformations
I finally got a chance to try out XnViewMP.
How do I replace an entire channel with an 8-bit grayscale image in batch conversion? I could do this in old versions of Paint Shop Pro and it made certain tasks much easier than in Photoshop.
I also can't figure out how to remove a channel.
Thanks.

Re: Addons -> PNGOUT
Thanks for your awesome answer! Do you know which browsers support grayscale+alpha channel? Because even if XnView does not support it, it still might be a good idea to use it on my website.

Re: Addons -> PNGOUT
I am having trouble understanding this thread because some of the posts are very old, and because some users' English is not very good.
Should I still be using PNGOUT today in 2016? Is there something else that works better?
In the XnView Filters menu it says the PNGOUT version is 1.00. Is this ...

Ignore SVG images
I'm not sure I'm using XnViewMP or Classic. The 'About' dialog in the help menu just says 'XnView for Windows'. (You'd think if it is important, then it would be mentioned in this dialog.)

Human readable plaintext formats?
Does XnView support reading and writing to any human readable plaintext image formats?
I want 8-bit greyscale heightfield data if possible and need to be able to import the image into a small program I wrote.

Request: "Remove alpha" and "Load channel" transformations
Currently, in the batch processing transformations selection we have an "add alpha" option, but there is no "remove alpha" option. It is possible to use the "convert > True colors" option, but this works only if the alpha channel is not messed up somehow. For instance, if the alpha channel were ...

Re: How come SVG support isn't native?
No. I also tried uninstalling it without success. I ran the uninstaller, deleted all the files that were in the archive and then rebooting, but Xnview is still able to display the SVG files. Weird.

Re: AGIF & APNG
Oops ... forgot to post download link to my DOS and Win32 ports:

Could you list the Windows command-line options so that we can actually know how to use your program? :)
Thanks.

Re: 32bit cursors are not recognized as cursor files
Just installed 1.96.5 and am having problems with an ANI and CUR file. The ANI file is displayed in false colors, and the CUR file has transparency disabled.
download files in question
Also, is there a way to save/export as either of these formats?

Re: How come SVG support isn't native?
The rendering is pretty crappy. I don't recommend this plugin.
Examotion's Renesis Player is a pretty light weight freeware SVG renderer. Too bad there's no plugin using it instead.
