Re: Way to set dwg file display resolution?

I think XnView MP currently show dwg file as a picture in both browser and viewer, not as vectors, if you zoom in you will see the pixels. It would be good if there is a way to force it to show as a vector, otherwise is there an option to set the resolution? Image viewers always ultimately display ...

Re: Way to set dwg file display resolution?

Hello, is there a way to set the dwg file display resolution in XnView MP ? The current resolution is too low to see the details. I checked in the Settings-Interface-Format-Read but did not find an option for dwg. Maybe I'm missing something, but DWG files are vector drawings that may contain a lot...

Re: Make jpg file size larger

Yeah, if only they could listen. But they won't listen to me and what kinda crap printer doesn't understand res vs bytes I suspect that they may really be interested in the pixel dimensions of images, which could relate directly to the way that they use the images... In that case you would probably...

Re: Make jpg file size larger

I don't really know, but every now and then a cheap printer specifies files in mb instead of pixels. It's a sign to stay away but I can't control what people want to use :( In a specific case couldn't you clarify what the printer actually needs? Perhaps I could save as bmp or tif... But would they ...

Re: Make jpg file size larger

I'm resizing some photos and they're studio so compress quite well. Even at 100% quality jpg it's 1.5mb. Low quality print supplier has a requirement that the file is certain MB, not res. How can I make this jpg larger without adding noise? To be clear, could the low quality print supplier possibly...

Re: Retain Settings when Updating

As far as I know, the setting is here: Menu > Tools > Settings > Integration > Paths I use the portable version (zip) on windows10. After installing a new version, I copy the "xnview.ini" file from old folder to the new installation folder. For the "catalog, thumbnail database, other file" , I set ...

Re: Two or more pictures side by side

This is grayed out. How do I use this feature, please? o In the browser select two files by Control + clicking ; o Then select Tools > Compare... and the two images should be displayed side-by-side in a new viewer tab... If that doesn't work for you, please post a screenshot of what you are seeing.

Is the 64-bit version faster? Or can it handle larger pictures?
The 64-bit version can open images with very large pixel dimensions that require more ram than can be addressed by 32-bit software.

I'm not sure about speed, but imagine that it is potentially faster in some situati0ns at least...

Re: XnviewMP starting very slow

I am an enthusiastic Xnview user. I had Xnview installed and now I am trying XnviewMP. The program looks quite good, but there is one issue: the program is starting ver, very slow indeed. I double-click a very small image (jpg, 5 KB) and it will be displayed after ~7 seconds. The old Xnview was muc...

Re: Are .zip downloads 'portable' or mere different packaging?

you can use zip package as portable if you create a xnview.ini in the folder For XnView MP, for example, in Tools > Settings... > Integration -- Paths tab select Use .ini file in folder -- Program (XnView) . For full portability, similarly on the same tab set the Other settings to Program (XnView) ...

Re: Drag&drop to Outlook 2016 not working

Hi, when I try drag&drop a picture (thumbnail) to a new email in Outlook 2016 nothing happens. It works with older Outlooks. Copy&paste works too. When there is an attachement in the e-mail, then it works too. Everything updated. Possibly a known issue with Outlook 2016, for example from a Google s...
