Re: Real text size of added text?
Your images will have a canvas size if you check their properties, .... I see it in the props via XnView, but how to get it from nconvert? If you can't use a value you can obtain yourself from the file properties, because the image heights vary too much, then you have a problem. In principle the va...

Re: Real text size of added text?
I have a photo, JPEG, 1200*1600 pix, landscape, no resolution. I want to add a test which height is 3% of the image height, so 1200 x 3% = 36 pix. The advantage would be: every image has on "fullscreen" (on video or in Word document; the same for 1000 or 3000 pix) the same "visual size" of text You...

Re: Batch conversion without changeing original jpg-file
I'm using xnviewmp and miss a way that allows me to collect some jpgs and do a copy and rename to a specific target folder. The operation should keep the original content of the files unchanged. You wish to move and batch rename selected files? Is it possible to configure the batch convert tool in ...

-text option: In help file indicate text size units
Please edit the Help file for the -text option to indicate whether the text size is set in points, pixels or something else:
And maybe add the 'percent' of canvas height size option available in XnConvert?
Code: Select all
-text_font name size : Font name and size

Re: Real text size of added text?
If you check the file properties of your test file to find the canvas size in inches, I suspect that you will be able to confirm that NConvert text size uses points, 1/72 inch, which Pierre will hopefully indicate in the help file.

Re: Refresh without Exiting?
On Mac OS, 11.2 Big Sur. Macbook Pro keyboard. When new directories are created in another application, and files are added, the new directory does not appear in the list until XnView is exited and restarted. Is there a way to refresh without exiting? I'm not a Mac or really even a regular browser ...

Re: Real text size of added text?
The NConvert help file doesn't specify the units used in the -text option for text size, you are assuming possibly reasonably that the units are pixels? Taking a look at XnConvert 1.90, the Text action has a Position tab on which a Units dropdown allows the selection of % or points . Exploring the e...

Re: Command parameters - levels 2
In the new version 7.70 of nconvert, the command "-levels 2" has appeared, please help us understand the parameters of this command. The logic of these 5 parameters is not quite clear. Describe them in more detail and preferably with examples. Referring to the Image > Adjust > Levels... display in ...

Re: Is there a way to change the folder colors?
There is no point in the priority adding this opportunity to the detriment of other tasks. There will be free time - then it may be sense to remember your offer, but still early because Its implementation will require switching the developer's efforts from eliminating errors and compatibility issue...

Re: Is there a way to change the folder colors?
The yellow is really destroying the dark theme. Any way to change this? I know there was a folder color editor app for the classic version, anything like that possible in MP? May I suggest that you make a request for an option to be added, referring to the option available in XnView Classic, as a n...

Re: Converting a multi-page PDF to a multi-page PDF
If you need to process alternative types of source file and writing a general purpose script seems daunting, if you could use alternative NConvert files configured for alternative types of input (colour, black and white, etc.) that should be very much easier, and you probably wouldn't need many, may...
