Re: Problem to start the program.

Yes, the very same problem here after upgrading Xubuntu to 16.04 today…

I solved it with:

Code: Select all

apt install libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10-0
I found that here.

Re: 0.70 CPU load very high (Linux)

Thanks fpr your reply. :) At least I'm not the only one!

Same here, openSUSE 13.2 x86_64 . It occurred only in browse mode, closing the browse tab will make everything back to normal.

Maybe, but unfortunately the browser view / browser tab is rather essential for my daily routine with ...

0.70 CPU load very high (Linux)

Ahoi,

even when "doing nothing" (having been started after a reboot as first program, showing no pics..) v0.70 causes a CPU load of about 30 %... It soon rises to 100 % when I switch to a directory with a few images in it or do anything I'm used to do with XnViewMP... (No significantly increased ...

Re: Linux: Data pane not completely scalable

Pierre,

I'm almost absolutely sure the bug appeared with 0.67...

I use XnViewMP under Linux and Windows since years on a daily basis, and I never had such a broad data pane before... And I use to experiment quite a lot with different layouts - I'm sure I would have noticed the bug if had it ...

Linux: Data pane not completely scalable

Here is a small bug under Linux (Xfce desktop, in case this is of importance). I first noticed it with 0.67, it persists with 0.68.

The data pane is not fully scalable any more.

When I roll the mouse cursor over the pane's border it becomes a double-pointed arrow:

Nevertheless I ...

Re: Switch off tooltips? (Info pane and tree pane)

No... the tooltips disappear immediately when I move the cursor to the center of my screen, i.e. to the thumbnails, but not when I move to another item in the info pane or of the tree pane. They indeed are hidden after about 10 seconds or a little longer when i move the cursor to another item - but ...

Re: Switch off tooltips? (Info pane and tree pane)

Pierre,

thank you (again) for your reply, but for me it's the very same problem under Windows 7 (64 Bit) on the same machine (with a dual boot system): Those rather unwanted tooltips pop up in the info pane and in the tree pane over every item, and I cannot deactivate them (or yet did not manage ...

Switch off tooltips? (Info pane and tree pane)

Once again I am not sure if this a general question, a feature request or even a bug report, I'm sorry...

How can I prevent these tooltips from popping up in the info pane and in the tree pane every time I roll over an item? I find them rather annoying because they tell me the same things again and ...

Horizontal scrollbar in categories tab of tree pane?

I'm not sure if this is a bug report or a feature request - but I think it is the latter...

I would find a horizontal scrollbar in the categories tab of the tree pane quite useful, especially if the categories structure is more complex and deeper than in this screenshot/example:

no scrollbar.jpg ...

Re: 0.60 (& earlier) Linux: Exif tags in viewer mode unreada

Could you try XnViewMP in english, please?

I switched from "Autodetect" (which on my system results in German) to "English" - and indeed the font looks normal just as it should, the problem is gone. :-)

But I tried various other languages... The font looks false (shifted to the top, cf ...

Re: 0.60 (& earlier) Linux: Exif tags in viewer mode unreada

Hö, does "pane" refer to that what I called "tabs"? IPTC-IM, XMP, ExifTool etc. pp.? (I'm simply not sure about the correct designations here, sorry!) Everything is okay with them. Moreover, I exclusively noticed that strange font appearance in the Exif tab (pane?) as shown in the screenshot and ...

Re: 0.60 (& earlier) Linux: Exif tags in viewer mode unreada

At least with every file that makes the Exif tab appear at all, i.e. of course with JPGs that have Exif data... I didn't notice a difference in this respect between single files...
