Glad that you found out!

You could copy / backup your databases also: Tools \ Settings \ Integrations | Paths tab

...and there click on the "Open the Catalog Location" - save / copy the DBs from there.

There is a button also on the toolbar, but I agree that is is nice to have also a menu entry in a logical place with the same icon

I would do it like this:

File | New...

And then, as @cday said, a dialog appears with the dimensions (W x H) and the Color.

It doesn't matter how many files are transferred. From where did you transfer? - from a memory card?

You can use Piriform's Recuva to try to get back your files.

In 99.9% of cases, this isn't a problem with XnView MP (or any other „normal” program) because OSs file system guarantees that the file will not „vanish” or gets „corrupted” whatever it happens. There is a quite thick isolation layer between the programs and file system. Most probably you have a pro...
