Problem: I have two or three hundred or so Sony *.ARW images that need to have the EXIF time stamp changed by a factor of 8 hours only. (I forgot to reset the camera time when I arrived in China). The 'Change Timestamp' facility ...

Changing Time Stamp
I need to batch convert to add 8 hours only to EXIF times without affecting date, minutes and seconds. I will also need to do this with 'Properties: Date Modified'. (e.g. 07:xx:yy to 15:xx:yy)
The Tools/Change Time Stamp facility does not allow this without affecting minutes and seconds.

I think I have found a way.
Use an empty flash card, take a picture to create a directory. Using the USB connection copy the last picture taken with the old camera to the new camera. Remove USB and take another picture and it will be the next one in sequence to the old camera picture. This assumes ...

Renumbering images
Recently I had a fault with the camera and exchanged it under warranty.
This means that all the images with the new camera start at 00001.
Is there software that will enable a block renumbering of the new camera images to follow on from the last image of the old camera?

Date anomaly in Image Properties and EXIF
I have some images where the Date Taken, Date Created & Date Modified are different where there should be no difference. In fact some images display a Date Created of 01/01/1980! Clearly impossible. Some images appear to have been 'Modified' before they were created,

Printing EXIF
I have a confession to make. I did not realise that the print preview in XnView is a function of the printer driver. My son pointed this out (who is a bit brighter at these things) and it is obvious really. He has no problem with his images in XnView preview. The printer I am using is a 1200 dpi ...
