Re: Some Amiga IFF/HAM images crash xnview

I went through and very carefully tested all the suspect images. The problem I'm having is not as bad as I made it out to be! There is no CTD caused by XnView. I had about 5 or 6 "RGB" proprietary-format images saved from Digi-View. It was these files that crashed XnView. These same files also crash...

Re: Support for Apple 2 series pictures (and other classics)

By the end of the month I could put together an Apple 2 Series graphics information package for you. It would consist of: 1- hardware/technical description of the graphics hardware in the Apple II 2- hardware theory of ops written for the layman 3- sample images directly from Apple II disks, in thei...

Re: Some Amiga IFF/HAM images crash xnview

Yes, I'll send them in a day or two. I want to go through them again and test and categorize them. I will send you 1 zip file with two folders. I'll also reference this thread. Folder 1 will have images that CTD on XnView but work in IrFanView. Folder 2 will have images that do not work on XnView or...

Support for Apple 2 series pictures (and other classics)

I think it would be neat to expand supports and add a few more file formats in XnView, especially for classic computers of the 1970's and 1980's! We've already got some Atari support and Amiga, though there are CTD's with some IFF/HAM images. I'd like to see import (and dare I ask, export?) capabili...

Re: PDF documentation

Regarding documentation. In the old days we'd get a printed manual. And that was fine. As time went on we got in-program and disk-based help files, readme.txt and TXT/PDF/DOC/CHM files. This was also good. Perhaps even better than a printed book. But now it seems some devs are going the online needs...

Some Amiga IFF/HAM images crash xnview

In going through my classic computing archives I decided to convert some old Amiga pictures to modern-day formats. XnView CTD's when looking at some of these whereas IrFanView does not.

I'm not sure exactly what info you want on this, or if you would even plan on fixing this.
