Picture will be taken from image folder (folder.jpg, or else) and will be displayed as thumbnail on that yellow folder, right?
Now, would ...

Re: Features needed
I cannot select a few pictures and dragging them in a folder in the folder tree!
I cannot live without that...it's almost impossbile to manage lots of photos and always use the "move to" feature instead of a simple drag and drop.
I hope it will be add as soon as possible. So I will be able to ...

Animated thumbnail on mouse over
Hi
example:
-Lightroom 4 will animate movie on mouse over back and forth but it is slow as it possibly generates frames for most of the movie (not sure how this works).
-iPhoto - like how it shows you series of random images from a gallery on mouse over.
So, instead of 4 tiny images for a movie ...

Thanks Roumano, that sounds easy, but for a older technically challenged person that could be a real difficulty.

0.33 metadata refresh - winXP/mac
Any way to refresh or re-read the files so changes made in other programs would show up?
When I rate or label a file it will show up in Lightroom. If I edit in Lightroom it will not be seen in xnview.
Only way to do that now is to go in cacheDB and delete thumbnails. (on mac is fast but on winXP I ...

Re: Thumbs.db and explorer addon
Thanks XnTriq, but not exactly what I was looking for. Those cleaners just delete thumbs.db.
I was after something that is more like an addon that will update thumbs.db on the fly as you add or remove images from folders in windows explorer.
I do not think anything like that exist.

Thumbs.db and explorer addon
Hi, I am sure someone here might have an answer...
I do not want to remove or clean directories of Thumbs.db. Actually I want to keep it but find an addon for windows explorer that will update Thumbs.db as I delete or move images out of a directory.

Re: XnView as a photo organizer?
Hi Pierre,
I have worked with a number of photo organizers: Picasa, Adobe Photo Album and IMatch, and none of them truly matched my needs. They have extra features, but they do not have the XnView elegance and flexibility.
You should try fotoalbum pro. It is cheap too at $40. In my opinion it is ...

Re: folder thumbnail / preview
Just take any image you want displayed as folder thumbnail and name it folder.jpg.. that is the simplest thing to do I think.
I use screen cap software, select region of image and have it scale down to certain resolution and names it folder.jpg
