It works fine in slide show mode! Is it possible to activate this in the quick slide show mode or in browsing mode too?

Cross fading in quick slide show mode
It would be great to have simple cross fading available not only in predefined slide shows, but also in quick slide shows and in the normal view mode. What do you think about such an option?

It seems that this feature has now been added (http://pagesperso-orange.fr/pierre.g/xn ... story.html), but it doesn't work in version 1.95.4: The corresponding wave file is still played *after* the image, not simultaneously in the background. Is there an option to change this behaviour?

Transition effects only in pre-defined slide shows?
Is it possible to have transition effects like fading only at predefined slide shows? It would be great to have this feature available in full screen mode when I'm just browsing through a directory...

How to make Gimp the default jpg-editor?
When I press F4 in XnView I get Paint as the default windows program to edit the current picture. How can I change this so that gimp starts instead of paint? Anywhere in the Windows Explorer? I know how to set the default application to open a file but not how to set the default application to edit ...
