Congratulations!

XnView MP looks & works great. My opinion is that it should become main XnView version!

Unicode is a must! Hard to think what features can be more important, when the lack of this one makes work with some pictures impossible.

I think xnview's greatest weakness is it's self-inconsistancy. Xnview is a great program overall, but it's desperately needs to improve it's consistancy. Yes, I agree, many modes are confusing. There are also different things that seem to be completely off-place and not completed. I would like to s...

I think they can be left as is, because you lose independet searching for these fields. And I think it is rare to search for the same string in description/IPTC/EXIF. But how to search a string in all fields??? Add checkbox "All fields" next to "Description" checkbox that deactivates IPTC/EXIF inpu...

Are you talking about color-indexed images with alpha channel and transparency colour set? What is 'Show mask' about then? I think it is not important to make entry for such setting in Options. It is enough to remember menu option state. Default transparency and alpha should be used, because it is h...

I've thought about using categories tree to select many categories at the same time, and to construct simple queries (searches) in this way.
But also using Search dialog is OK.
It would be convenient then to have Saved searches in Categories tree.

Categories development

Are there any plans to improve searching in categories? Currently there is none.
