same here. i tried some examples from the post viewtopic.php?f=60&t=32568&p=145073 but xnview 2.42 was not able toopen them.

it's missing in the installer, but present in the zip file.

it sure happens only in exactly that folder TESTPICS. i searched the registry for that name and found some, most of them in

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ComDlg32\OpenSavePidlMRU\flif

not sure if i should try to ...

it's even more weird than expected. if i copy the whole folder containing the test pics to another drive, it does NOT happen. at the original path i can reproduce it anytime but only with some of he files..

also there seems to be a new issue when loading flif files... they load and are displayed, but after a few seconds xnview comes up with some other pic in the same folder instead. Does this still occur?

For example, someone with a large collection of images may want to consolidate images into a ZIP/RAR file to help mitigate file fragmentation across the drive, and/or to reduce wasted cluster space on a given filesystem.

the file gets created in the right place, but gets deleted immediately again.

ok, i was wrong, the files stays there, but gets the same date/time as the original file. don't like that behaviour, but oh well.
