XnView Software

I have no problem using XnView to acquire the images. It seems to work just fine, but where does XnView put the images it acquires? I can't find them anywhere.

I ended up having to use built-in windows tools or just using Explorer.

Couldn't find anything in the helpfile.

So where does XnView put ...

I would prefer to view the thumbnail in a submenu. Is it possible to get this as an option?

My explorer context-menu is becoming a bit long

On Windows XP this works fine.
But:
Perhaps this problem is related to Image select in browser . In the options dialog, category 'Browser->File list', frame 'Items shown in other mode', I've unchecked 'All files'. And voilà, the problem described by you (notnoisy) appears.

As Pierre pointed out in his reply, the selection is not lost. When minimizing and then maximizing XnView, the focus is not restored properly. So the selected files are still selected, but it's hard to see since the focus is not in the file area of the browser and therefore the selected files are ...
