Can not open HEIC files. XnView 2.51.7, Windows 10 pro 22H2

built-in Windows 10 image viewers:

Why does it display correctly in the built-in Windows 10 image viewers and in Gimp without activating any options?

XnView opens a tif file in unnatural colors. Gimp, built-in windows viewers show the correct color

Convert->Batch Processing->Transformations->Canvas resize->Parameters->"add resize by bigger or smaller side"

I have a lot of big photos(19-20Mb, with huge resolution). I need convert them to smaller size for example 1024*768. But some photos have resolution for example 3744*5616, others 5616*3744 ...
