I tried using "-icc_in" with the d700 profile available from the site you referenced. All it seemed to do was excessively increase the color saturation without any brightness benefit.
The "-icc" option made no difference.

When converting Nikon's NEF (raw) format to TIFF or JPEG, the "-high_res" option is required to get the full image size of 4284x2844. The default is 1/2 of those dimensions.
Why is that option required?
