support for packJPG, Lepton and Rawzor compressed images
Please add support for packJPG, Lepton and Rawzor compressed images. Both packJPG and Lepton compress JPEG losslessly and store them in .pjg/.lep format; Rawzor compresses Camera raw formats and stores them in .rwz format. Rawzor was supported via (32-bit) plugin in former XnView distributions, and ...

Re: 0.85: No message box "...will lose all existing metadata"
I would vote for metadata support when converting to .flif and .webp. Look, when you want to save your images in a format better (compressing) than .TIF or .PNG, in XnView/XnViewMP you currently have no option to choose a format which preserves metadata. And if you use another tool to create p.ex. W...

Display used Autofocus points
some cameras such as Nikon D300 and Sony a7mk2 store the AF points used to focus when image was taken. Would it be possible to let XnView MP display the used AF points? Back in 2009 there was a software called PhotoME which could display them. Here's an example: https://www.photome.de/images/screens...

0.85 compression is displayed as "none' on many formats (properties)
XnView: MP 0.85 - 64 bit OS: Windows 10 64bit In the file properties window on the bottom left the compression is displayed as "none" on many formats. If possible, please display compression type (if it can be detected): *.dds - is either uncompressed or compressed *.exr - is either compressed by Wa...

0.85: Label 'color space' shows "uncalibrated" on Sony Alpha cameras
XnView: MP 0.85 - 64 bit OS: Windows 10 64bit 0.85 label 'color space' shows "uncalibrated" if the color space of camera is not sRGB. Since there are only 2 color spaces (at least on Sony cameras), the color space is "Adobe RGB" then. This is true on all Sony Alpha cameras. Exiftool also reports Ado...

Re: 0.85 labels 'Lens ID' and 'software' do not work on many camera raw files
exiv2 shows 'Lens ID' and 'software' for Sony a55 and 'software' for Sony a7mk2 - 'Lens ID' is shown as "manual", but 'LensModel' entry is correct. It seems to also show bit depth of many many raw images (Exif.Image.BitsPerSample) including recent Canon, Olympus, Nikon, Sony (I haven't seen this in ...

Re: use Exiftool in labels
But exiv2 is open-source and written in C++ so it should be easier to integrate it in XnView's own exif engine.
At least you can get some workarounds / inpirations from it if you want.

0.85 display facetags
it would be a pretty cool feature if XnView would support
displaying facetags embedded in JPEG / TIFF / DNG metadata (XMP).
here is an example file:

0.85 convert 48bit DNG results in 8bit ouput, XMP tags not exported to JXR
When this 48bit image is converted to PNG, TIFF, JPEG-XR, FLIF etc the output is always 8bit.

Also, XMP tags are not exported when converting to JPEG-XR.

use Exiftool in labels
It would be very cool if XnViewMP would use Exiftool in labels. This would be very helpful to display Lens Model, Firmware, Color Space etx next to file format on all camera raw formats. Photographers sometimes need this info and XnViewMP already is more sophisticated than all others in this area. I...

0.85: Labels 'Lens ID' and 'software' do not work on many camera raw files
looking at XnViewMP 0.85 I am very happy to use 'make', 'model' and more labels for my camera raw images, but a test on dozens of camera raw samples shows that 'Lens ID' works on no testfile and 'Software' label does not work on some Olympus (.ofr), Sigma (.x3f), Pentax (.dng) and Panasonic (.rw2) m...
