This issue seems to have popped up again in 1.60 and later.

Because the "embedded description" is burned into the image file, it seems unlikely that the issues are related.

But it is still a valid bug, since the icon when dragging and dropping shows "move", it is the little arrow, instead of "copy", the little plus sign.
If you review the Settings->Interface->Mouse, move is the default action for either left or right mouse buttons. Copy doesn't appear to be an option ...

In my quite possibly twisted opinion, Write all should always work in the same way. As it is, the Write all command is ignored under this specific condition.

I can see where mistakes on the part of the user could be a disaster, but carelessness should have consequences.

When editing the description for multiple of files/pictures, the description won't be applied if it isn't changed from the existing description of the file that you're copying from.

I expected that if you wanted to apply a description of one file to a group of files you would choose that ...
