I concur.
And I might add an observation from XnView-Classic related to this very same bug, that may also be true for XnViewMP (although I am not 100% sure as it has been a couple of months ago, that I last tried the MP version but decided to stick with classic):

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer
you have similar bug in XnViewMP???
I concur. As I have already mentioned above, not only is this bug present in a similar way in XnViewMP, it is _exactly_ the same bug.

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer
Thank you very much, Pierre, for both the good news that also the classic version still "lives" and that the problem described will soon be history.

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer
Given the slow rate of reactions here, the question arises, if "XnView classic" has been abandoned recently.
If so, an announcment would be nice, so that users could decide if they should wait for future fixes or if that expectation has become moot.

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer
What about a fixed new version of XnView?
v2.12 came out November 13, v2.13 was issued Dec.12 2013 - we now nearly have March 14. So it's about time, one would assume.

Hello, anybody there?
Could you please stop stalling on this issue and at least acknowledge this bug as a first step to get it fixed?

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer
Same problem, situation unchanged and "ViewMaxi=1" has been recreated after either deleting it first or setting it explicitly to zero.
Is there another way to get rid of that parameter??
Btw, before I forget, I also have tried deleting the entry and then setting xnview.ini to "read only" before ...

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer
Please remove ViewMaxi=1 from your .ini
You've got to be kidding.
When I edited xnview.ini manually and deleted this entry I started XnView with high hopes - and - and (drums..) - the browser window showed messed up exactly the same way as it had been before. But the "best" (actually worst, that ...

I had to paste its content into the message-field as text though, for I could find no way to attach a file to the PM.

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer
when activated, browser and viewer have not different size?
You use double click or enter to switch between viewer/browser?
At the moment I use neither but the "middle-mouse-button" instead, as I seek to avoid that situation which reveals the problem described.

Yes, I have. The box "use different positions" is checked / set enabled.
Seems to make no difference though, if it is unchecked/off.
