Re: Switching from viewer to browser un-maximize the window

I concur. And I might add an observation from XnView-Classic related to this very same bug, that may also be true for XnViewMP (although I am not 100% sure as it has been a couple of months ago, that I last tried the MP version but decided to stick with classic): Ridiculously the shape and size of t...

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer

you have similar bug in XnViewMP??? I concur. As I have already mentioned above, not only is this bug present in a similar way in XnViewMP, it is _exactly_ the same bug. The fact that it is so elementary and yet there seemingly have been no complaints about it for years and up until my post was the...

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer

Thank you very much, Pierre, for both the good news that also the classic version still "lives" and that the problem described will soon be history. My criticism was never meant to belittle the huge effort behind XnView in any way but on the contrary to help remove an "unworthy nuisance" from an oth...

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer

XnView Classic is now reasonably mature but it is still subject to limited development and is being maintained... If an image-viewer that popular has been demonstrated to be unable to correctly switch between a full-screen single image and the browser-view, also utilizing the entire screen-area, it...

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer

Given the slow rate of reactions here, the question arises, if "XnView classic" has been abandoned recently.

If so, an announcment would be nice, so that users could decide if they should wait for future fixes or if that expectation has become moot.

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer

What about a fixed new version of XnView?

v2.12 came out November 13, v2.13 was issued Dec.12 2013 - we now nearly have March 14. So it's about time, one would assume.

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer

Hello, anybody there? Could you please stop stalling on this issue and at least acknowledge this bug as a first step to get it fixed? Meanwhile I have reproduced the erroneous behavior of the browser - as documented in the introductory part of this thread - on over a dozen of computers, most of them...

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer

Same problem, situation unchanged and "ViewMaxi=1" has been recreated after either deleting it first or setting it explicitly to zero. Is there another way to get rid of that parameter?? Btw, before I forget, I also have tried deleting the entry and then setting xnview.ini to "read only" before star...

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer

Please remove ViewMaxi=1 from your .ini You've got to be kidding. When I edited xnview.ini manually and deleted this entry I started XnView with high hopes - and - and (drums..) - the browser window showed messed up exactly the same way as it had been before. But the "best" (actually worst, that is...

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer

On its way via PM.

I had to paste its content into the message-field as text though, for I could find no way to attach a file to the PM.

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer

when activated, browser and viewer have not different size? You use double click or enter to switch between viewer/browser? At the moment I use neither but the "middle-mouse-button" instead, as I seek to avoid that situation which reveals the problem described. I have tried using both Enter and dou...

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer

Yes, I have. The box "use different positions" is checked / set enabled.

Seems to make no difference though, if it is unchecked/off.

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer

Here is a graphical representation of what I'm talking about: http://ge.tt/8b2lWLA1?c Example-1: scaled image in viewer right-1: Fullscreen browser with various images as it should be wrong-1: Pseudo-fullscreen browser (having switched to after viewing "example-1" in Viewer) with "pseudo-maximized" ...

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer

I have a picture of any size, larger or smaller, fit to the screen (width or height). Once I switch to the browser I want the browser window to come up full screen at all times (at least when the browser window is displayed as a maximized window, that is the Windows-button next to the red closing-x ...

Re: Switching Browser / Viewer

Thanks for the quick response. Auto-Image-size is currently set to "fit to desktop, all". As far as I recall I have experimented with all those different settings and it made no difference. All settings resulting in images fit to the whole screen with original aspect-ratio had the same effect. I have...
