Re: recognizing faces and people

Maybe it is possible to integrate this into XNView? Facial recognition would be awesome!!! It's something I would happily pay for! I loved XnViewMP when I used it on my Linux desktop (but that computer has died and gone). More than digikam and Shotwell. I haven't had much time for organising my pho...

Re: Import-sort tool no confirm message!

I agree, it would be much better user experience to have a completion message that also closes the dialogue. The current experience is ambiguous.

Also, it would be nice to have the option of deleting imported photos.

Thanks,

Re: Bad implementation of the folder rename

I've also noticed I can't rename a directory twice. Once the directory has been renamed the option to Rename (and others) is disabled. This is an issue if I make a mistake when initially renaming the directory.

0.72 Linux: Contents not shown after renaming

When I rename a folder (from the Folder Tree View) it doesn't show the contents (thumbnails) when I move to another folder and come back to the renamed folder. To reproduce: 1. Select a folder in the Tree view and note the thumbnails being shown 2. Right-click and choose Rename 3. Rename the folder ...

Re: Bind-mounted directories appear twice (Linux)

You have Desktop + Home, and after all mounted devices. How do you mount it? Here's an excerpt from my /etc/fstab: /dev/sda5 / ext4 rw,relatime,data=ordered 0 1 /dev/sda6 /var ext4 rw,relatime,data=ordered 0 2 /dev/sda7 none swap defaults 0 0 /dev/sdb1 /var/srv/galleries ext3 rw,relatime,data=order...

Re: xnview.ini is stored in wrong place

I agree, it would be better to follow standards. I also noticed that if I try to set the Use .ini file in folder folder to Program (XnView) it doesn't actually change the location of the .ini file. Which makes sense because the program location on Linux is read-only to normal users (/usr/bin). A sim...

Re: Bad implementation of the folder rename

Also, in the Favourites Tree View it will let you rename a folder but it won't actually rename the folder on the disk!

Re: (Linux) Filelist - New folders always added to bottom

I'm on 0.72 XnViewMP on Arch Linux and I'm having the same issue.

In the Folders Tree view the new directories I create stay at the bottom of the list, even after a refresh.

In the Favourites Tree view those same new directories never show up!

Thanks,

Bind-mounted directories appear twice (Linux)

I'm running XnViewMP 0.72 on Linux. My photos are stored in /srv/galleries, but /srv is actually bind-mounted from /var/srv. So in the Folders view on the left side I see galleries twice. I assume XnViewMP is picking up the two different paths to the same location some how and displaying them both. ...

I think Digikam has something like that. That would work too. But since there's already and Assigned tab in XnView MP I would just re-format that.

Re: Feature Request: Assigned Categories - Category Sets

With that I see both that is assigned and what isn't. And if you have a lot of categories (like I do) then there's a good chance you'll miss something this checked/un-checked that shouldn't be.

What I'd like is for Category Sets > Assigned to show the the assigned categories in their hierarchy.

Re: Moved category does not inherit parents

.... If you drag/right-click move 'Rugby' from 'Mammals' to 'Sports' you want to unassign first 'Animals' and 'Mammals' and after that assign "Activity" and "Sports" Yes, you are right. I think the category handling stems from the way IPTC/XMP handle hierarchies - i.e.: they don't! It seems the sta...

XnRetro on Android file name bug

Good afternoon... I think I have a bug in XnRetro on Android with the file name. Maybe it's just my preference but I don't think it makes sense. If I take a photo in the afternoon and filter it through XnRetro the file name uses 12-hour format, not 24-hour format. That makes sorting by file name imp...

Re: [SOLVED] Can't move Category to top level

After fiddling a bit figured-out I could right-click the Category Location and choose Move from the menu. Using the dialog box that comes up I could move it to the top-level again.

Can't move Category to top level

Good afternoon... I accidentally move a top-level category by dragging and dropping it into another category. I can't seem to find any way to move it back to the top level! I originally had this - Activity -- activity-1 -- activity-2 - Category -- category-1 -- category-2 --- category-2.1 --- catego...
