Re: 0.96.1 64bits: Scaling up default Ubuntu font excessively

0.92 uses Qt 5.9.5, 0.94 uses Qt 5.9.7, and 0.96 uses Qt 5.12.6, they have perhaps changed the default font size.... Hmm, okay. I don't really know what to do with that unfortunately. Although I am surprised that I'm the only Ubuntu user with this problem. I'm going to have to stick with 0.92 and i...

Re: 0.96.1 64bits: Scaling up default Ubuntu font excessively

Okay, installed qtconfig-qt4. Fiddled around with the font size and themes. Restarted a bunch of times, and still... No.

What should I be trying with qtconfig? (I've not played with that before.)

Re: 0.96.1 64bits: Scaling up default Ubuntu font excessively

Hmm, I thought I was coming from 0.94.3, but not I'm not so sure. I was testing different versions after some issues with 0.94.3 that we resolved, but perhaps I left it on 0.92. Can't be sure. Anyway, just deleted my user config folder, and reinstalled 0.92 - everything looks fine: Screenshot_2020-0...

Re: 0.94.2: Metadata is not saved

(Yes, 0.95 isn't working for me and I'm one of the people posting under that thread too.) I've never unticked that box before - it seems like it would be really dangerous. If I had a pile of photos selected and accidentally hit Write All, I'd throw away all my captions, potentially hours of work, an...

Re: 0.95.2 Fails to Load in Linux Mint 19.3, Cinnamon

I am also using xfce4 on my Ubuntu 18.04 install. I just ran sudo apt install qt5-default and it did do a bunch of installing, but doesn't seem to have made a difference. Same error message: ~$ xnview Cannot mix incompatible Qt library (version 0x50907) with this library (version 0x50c06) Aborted (c...

Re: 0.95.2 Fails to Load in Linux Mint 19.3, Cinnamon

I'm not much of an expert with TGZ files but I've unpacked it into my home directory, and not having any luck running it: julie@julie:~/Scratch/XnView$ ./xnview.sh Cannot mix incompatible Qt library (version 0x50907) with this library (version 0x50c06) Aborted (core dumped) This is exactly the same ...

Re: 0.94.2: Metadata is not saved

you need to disable 'Keep original values if..." I'll try that when I get the new version to work again. (I'm back on 0.92 for now and 0.95 wouldn't run.) But unticking that box to make single caption editing work ?? It feels completely unintuitive, and more of a bug workaround than an actual way I...

Re: 0.95.2 Fails to Load in Linux Mint 19.3, Cinnamon

i've updated the package, now it works on system with QT 5.9 Which package have you updated? I've just installed the .deb which was flagged as a problem by @DanPF and I have the same problem. As he noted, I can run it if I use the superuser prefix sudo. XnView MP Linux Version 0.95 64bits (Jan 26 2...

... I have this problem too, consistently reproducable just as cicciobello sets it out. Do you have 'don't load values' checked? Which options do you have? I'm not sure where to find "don't load values" setting - are you referring to the options in Edit IPTC/XMP dialog? I've attached a screenshot w...

0.93.1 Edit IPTC/XMP Caption fails in single image mode

XnView MP Linux Version 0.93.1 64bits (Mar 7 2019) When I'm in single image mode, and I use the Edit IPTC/XMP tool to edit the caption, the value doesn't stick. It holds the value for as long as I'm in single image mode (I can even go onto next image and then return), and I can reopen the dialog and...

Re: Change Timestamp tool leaving ".jpg_exiftool_tmp" files in the directory

Hurrah! - that did it, thank you. And apologies because I thought I was running the latest version - it turned out that somehow both versions were installed but in parallel. :? The app shortcut was to the old one and I didn't get the notifications that I had an old version because the new one was th...
