I'm seeing a jump in icon size after upgrading from 0.98 to 0.98.1
Running Windows 7 pro 64bit with the font size set at 125%
This wouldn't be an issue for me except that vertical screen space is precious, and those extra pixels are valuable.

Large images slow to generate thumbnails
When I have a folder of very large images (>1MiB, >6000x4000), XnViewMP will often be slow about generating thumbnails. What settings are the best for speeding up thumbnail generation? Could the problem be with the thumbnail cache getting filled, and needing to be regularly deleted?
Re: ToDo list
Add to Text action: Proportional text size based on the image dimension. This prevents long text (in case of for example Folder name) from going outside the image. you can choose unit % As nearly as I can tell "unit %" scales the text based on the image's height . Is this correct? And if so, is the...

Re: 0.93: Keyboard shortcut doesn't work if set to space, and space bar is ignored
So is it better if i add a setting like XnView Classic to customize SPACE key? (next file or quick slideshow) That would be a good solution from my point of view. What I found confusing is that the SPACE key got changed from a "customizable" key on 0.92 to a "reserved" key 0.93. At first I thought ...

Re: 0.93: Keyboard shortcut doesn't work if set to space, and space bar is ignored
Some keys can't be changed like del, F2, Space (SPACE is now always used for next file) Can you give us a list of these reserved keys? If there aren't too many, it might be useful to list them in the settings/interface/shortcuts tab For what it's worth, the customization I used in 0.92 and earlier ...

Re: 0.91: Icons for non-image files display improperly in thumbnail view
For Windows 7 (and higher) the easiest way is probably to use "Default Programs Editor" http://defaultprogramseditor.com/

Re: 0.91: Icons for non-image files display improperly in thumbnail view
Well, I'm using custom icons. The issues seem to be: 1. Icons with a maximum size of 32x32 or 48x48 get pushed to the upper left corner, rather than being centered. 2. In 256x256 icons, black is treated as transparent. I'm attaching two of my custom icon files. You'll have to associate them with a f...

Re: 0.91: Icons for non-image files display improperly in thumbnail view
Returning late - but the problem persists in 0.92
EDIT:
in 0.90 the same folder looks like this:
The zip and rtf files show small icons in the upper left corner instead of centered, while the txt icon is big and malformed.EDIT:
in 0.90 the same folder looks like this:

0.91: Icons for non-image files display improperly in thumbnail view
XnView: MP 0.91 - 64 bit OS: Windows 7 Pro - 64 bit Icons for text, pdf, archive, and "other" file types do not display properly in the browser. Sizes and positions vary with icon or file type. To reproduce: 1. Set view>"view as" to "thumbnails" or "thumbnails + filenames/lables/details" 2. In setti...

Re: How do I resize to fit?
If I use one of the built-in presets, e.g. 640x480, on an image where height > width, then v0.90 gives a width of 640px and a height > 640px. Which is a bug. With v0.91 beta, the height is 480px and the width is reduced appropriately. Which is no longer a bug. But if I create and save a custom prese...

The bug is fixed for the built-in presets, but not for custom presets.

Re: How do I resize to fit?
TommiG2, My problem is that to resize a specific image I often have to manually enter the desired height and/or width. The "preset" sizes work properly and as expected for + "resize width and height to specific values" or + "resize width to a specific value and the height accordingly" + "resize to a...

Re: How do I resize to fit?
Actually, on rechecking the image->resize command, it sets the width at 200 pixels and changes the height to be either longer or shorter, depending on the ratio.
It's an odd choice and I'm inclined to call it a bug.
