Yes a custom section would be fine, though a quick way to also access this information while in view mode would be most convenient.

Hum, that could work but I am not totally sure what you mean. Could you point me in the right direction?

Do you have any tutorial on how to accomplish that, or perhaps a link to some documentation about that feature?
Is that under browse mode or view mode? I don't really know where to start

Short Version :

Is it possible to add custom EXIF/IPTC fields to isplay in the XNViewMP info panel under View > Show Information ?
If so how can I do it and how do I know the name of the fields in question?

Yep, I really can't figure it out either, and it has just happened again yesterday, my custom assigned key shortcuts wee gone. And I had to import them again and the subfolder didn't work, had to manually copy the file elsewhere and import from there.
My "install" is pretty standard, not much ...

I use XNView as a portable app so I keep it in my D: drive as in "D:/Duarte/Apps/XNView" and I keep an exported version of the .keys keymap in a sufolder called "/DPFR", no weird Unicode characters or symbols in the path, just regular ASCII text (I know some applications ...

Ok, update on information.
It seems that some times XNView randomly succeeds in importing from the same drive letter, but it still fails often. Maybe the problem resides in importing from subfolders of the install folder :?: I don't know yet, I'll have to test further.
