ah thanks! I've first sorted by date ascending. The resulting sequence is different now from what Windows offers me - I have to sort by EXIF date because that's what Windows does too. Of course then, the movies are all at the end because they don't have an EXIF date.
<sigh> but that's not an XnView ...

no because the current image is not the "end of folder", it is somewhere in the middle. Why do I get these messages?

I want to watch my holiday photos and videos. They are (in Explorer) sorted by date, so now and then, there are videos in between the photos. I want to watch everything in sequence.
So XNView shows me the first images, I press PgDn to get to the next one (can the shortcuts be modified btw?), and ...
