ah thanks! I've first sorted by date ascending. The resulting sequence is different now from what Windows offers me - I have to sort by EXIF date because that's what Windows does too. Of course then, the movies are all at the end because they don't have an EXIF date.

<sigh> but that's not an XnView ...

I think I first have to understand how to set the order of displayed files (I think my problem might have something to do with that). Where do I set in which order files are displayed?

I have a folder in Windows Explorer, containing some photos and videos. When I say "order by date ascending ...

"End of folder reached - do you want to continue in another folder?"

no because the current image is not the "end of folder", it is somewhere in the middle. Why do I get these messages?

I seem to have a day of not being able to explain myself :)

What happens when you have a folder that contains 100 photos and videos (MOV, in my case) and you want to watch them ordered by date/time? for instance, you look at 12 photos ...

I want to watch my holiday photos and videos. They are (in Explorer) sorted by date, so now and then, there are videos in between the photos. I want to watch everything in sequence.

So XNView shows me the first images, I press PgDn to get to the next one (can the shortcuts be modified btw?), and ...
