Yes, like you said it does take quite a while to scroll from one side of an image to another using the keyboard. This is a great image viewer, but it's the "smallest things" that can annoy you.

I use other image viewers that scroll smoothly and quickly, but lack certain functionality that XnView ...

Please, for the love of all that is good, add an option to customize the scroll speed (up/down/left/right) with the keyboard cursor keys . The default speed is insanely slow (as in not fast enough for me). It is one of the main reasons I do not use ...

Saving Options (Keyboard/Mouse settings)

When I change the keyboard option:

[Cursor Up/Down] to (Scroll Up/Down) from (Previous/Next Frame)

and press [OK] it works fine. However, when I reopen the options dialogue, the option is reset to [Previous/Next Frame].
