Re: videos don't show in viewer mode

After 6 months, this problem still continues in xnviewmp 0.72 and 0.75 32 bit and 64 bit.

To reproduce the problem:

1. Click settings > interface > switching mode > Set double click to "browser <> viewer"
2. Click settings > file list > custom filter > uncheck video, show in preview
3. Double ...

Re: Playing Video clips - When required

What's not to understand here? I quoted the part of the discussion I'm referring to. It's as simple as that.

Thu Oct 01, 2015 2:08 am << This his message you quoted
Sat Oct 03, 2015 3:15 am << That's his message that started the discussion

Why are you quoting his message from 1 Oct when my ...

Re: Playing Video clips - When required

XnTriq,

I don't understand why you are quoting what was said earlier to defend the argument one message later. We are talking about this:

Videos won't open by double click ... Not sure if its a bug or just by design though.

To say that "double click = do nothing" could be by design is ...

I am not the author or a moderator. Just someone trying to help.
I already knew that. You have too few messages to be the author or a moderator.

Just someone trying to help.
Even young children know what double click means. Therefore I don't find it helpful at all that you are undermining my ...

Re: Playing Video clips - When required

Why would it be by design that videos don't work but images do? With the same settings if you click on a photo, the photo opens in a new tab as expected but the video doesn't do anything.

In all software I have ever used in my life, when you double click on a video, it plays, except xnview. Xnview ...

Re: Playing Video clips - When required

Re: Playing Video clips - When required

This seems to work fine for me. As soon as i double click a video file already playing in preview. Video quits playing in the preview and opens in the fullscreen.

That's strange because it doesn't happen on my computer (win 7 64 bit using 0.75 64 bit). If I double click while preview is playing ...

Windows XP 32 bit + XnviewMP Version 0.75 x32 (Sep 21 2015) > doesn't play videos
Windows 7 64 bit + XnviewMP Version 0.75 x32 (Sep 21 2015) > plays videos
Windows 7 64 bit + XnviewMP Version 0.75 x64 (Sep 21 2015) > plays videos

Re: Playing Video clips - When required

Also your other problems in the chart are gone with v0.75. The preview window seems to act lots better.

Hi. I was exited when I read your comment so I installed XnViewMP 0.75 Windows x64 SETUP version to a Windows 7 machine. It plays videos but unfortunately none of the problems I mentioned in ...

Re: Playing Video clips - When required

The file you have sent already exist with exact same file size (bytes) and same creation time (seconds) but I still tried it and nothing has changed.

I wish it was possible to focus on the 3 important problems in 0.72 that I wrote in my previous message. The difference between 0.75 (97MB) and 0.72 ...

Re: Playing Video clips - When required

Could you try to remove or rename the .db?
I tried that and it didn't have any effect.

Could you try to remove or rename the .ini?
I tried that and again nothing has changed. It took me a while to figure out what .ini you mean. To help others, this is the ini location:

Re: Playing Video clips - When required

With all formats?
Yes, I have tested wmv, avi, mpg and mp4. None work in 0.75. They don't play in preview pane or new tab or right click play. They do play in 0.72.

x32 or x64bits?
32 bit.

Which problems?
The problems that I have explained in the table. There are 10 problems with 0.72 video ...
