1.5.0 "Save as copy for 'Save' action" setting uneffective
In settings General > File operations, with "Save as copy for 'Save' action" activated, doing a Save As still creates a separate copy of the file and the viewer stays with the original file. Expected behavior would be that the original file is abandonned from the viewer and the viewer stays with the...

Save As command actually saves a copy and stays with the original file
When we do a Save As we expect to save the current work to a new file, that the old file is closed and the editor stays with the new file. This is standard behavior. When we do a Save As, it creates a new file but the editor stays with the old file. So if we keep doing modifications and we want to s...

Clarify the "auto image size" settings
Until the latest update, it seems, the window size vs image zoom was behaving the way I wanted it to. It displayed the image in 100% zoom unless the image didn't fit the window, in which case it decreased the zoom. Now it seems I can't make it behave this way anymore. I look at the image size option...

Wrong interpretation of some color palettes
Howdy, The graphic designers in my organisation often produce files which have some color palette that seems to be wrongly interpreted by some software. I have to open it in GIMP and save a new file in order for it to display with the right colors in XnView and Firefox. Although I know they should b...

Deleting selection leaves a black square instead of the background color
When I delete a selection I expect the area to become the background color (white in the settings), not black. How can I put a selection to white?

Re: slash used instead of backslash in filename and path cop
In case others have had problems with this, I just found a handy workaround: adding file:/// before the path makes it usable in Windows dialogs. At least in Windows 10.

0.83: Slash instead of backslash in copied filename and path
When using the Edit > Copy to clipboard > Filename and path function, the path is copied with / instead of \ which makes the path unusable in Windows. I would often use this feature to quickly get the image file in a "browse" dialog to upload it to a website or insert it in a document, however I can...
