XnView Software

Just use any jpeg file and try converting to DDS. I have tested it with different files, they ALL get a graphic corruption when converting to DDS.

Everytime I try, it creates a corrupted image.

For example, I cropped this image and saved as .dds. Xnview then added extra space below the image and created a mirror image to the right.

Actually, I spoke too soon, its not 100% working yet.

When I double click to open a webm file, xnview classic 2.46 launches, but it does not play the file. It just has a blank window.

If I drag the webm file to xnview, it starts playing, but I get a blank video screen : https://i.imgur.com/MASQffM ...

For anyone interested, download the webm codecs from here : https://www.webmproject.org/ie/, xnview classic will be able to play webm files after.

As title? And why cant xnview classic open webms?

I remember getting xnview to play webms on my old laptop, but I cannot remember how. I tried searching for a plugin, but found none...nor any threads that explain how to get it working. Tried installing the webp plugin into the plugins sub folder and it didnt work. How do you get xnview to play webms?

What has that got to do with the underlying issue of why xnview can play some webm files and not others?

Okay i just picked a random gif from a video game and converted it to webm.

Lots of whitespace and artifacts : http://webm.host/8ae59/. It plays fine in firefox but not in xnview.

They are both based on VP8. The only thing that i could figure out was that converting a gif to webm via http://video.online-convert.com/convert-to-webm will not cause it to play back properly (you dont get to see the image, although the seek bar shows the animation playing). I have another webm ...
