No, I didn’t. I said this initially already. And therefore I rolled back to version 2.47.

Re: Playback of video files and slideshows with mixed content (photos and videos)

A missing codec can’t be the problem because slideshows with mixed content work fine with "Windows Media Player"! And; It’s generally discouraged by experts to install such so-called "codec packs" on your computer. You can check this in Google very fast. “Codec Packs” bring more problems and risks t...

Version 2.48 with error in setup

Version 2.48 with error in setup I just tried to update from 2.47 to 2.48 by uninstalling 2.47 first and then installing the new version 2.48 (XnView-win-full.exe), with all checkboxes marked. During the setup there appears an error message saying (here in German language)… -------------------------...

Playback of video files and slideshows with mixed content (photos and videos)

Hi, I’m a longtime user and big fan of XnView Classic. The development of the newer XnView MP I’m constantly observing but stick for the time being to the, in my opinion more mature XnView Classic. One thing that I find a bit annoying is that… XnView Classic and XnView MP in their current versions a...

Re: Error MSVCR120.dll is missing on starting XnView

Thanks for your answer. Listen, I’m just a user and not a programmer. Therefore I don’t have a clue what all this Visual C++ stuff is and for what I need it. I also didn’t install this Visual C++ stuff, it came preinstalled on my system and probably with other software installations. But one thing i...

Re: Error MSVCR120.dll is missing on starting XnView

The same applies to me on my Windows 7 64-Bit system. I upgraded today from Xnview Full-Version 2.40 to Xnview Full-Version 2.42. But with this current Version 2.42 I get the same error message saying that “MSVCR120.dll is missing” when starting XnView. xnview.exe - Systemfehler ab V.2.42.jpg Strang...

Categorization problem: Status Quo?

Hi Pierre. I saw that you just released Version 2.38.

How is the situation with the "categorization problem" now, almost 18 months later after our last interchange here?

Could you fix this issue the meantime??

Re: Categorization lost

Hi Pierre. First off all sorry for my very late reply. I have been sick and completely offline for almost 2 weeks. I decided now to stick to the good old classic “XnView Full-Version” which I’m using for many years now and just hope that you might fix the category bugs in a near feature. Let me resu...

Re: Categorization lost when renaming file

Yes Pierre, I categorized around 1000 files which took me many days. And yes, afterwards I renamed quite a lot and also moved them to other or new folders (which is a common practice I believe) with the result that the formerly given categories are lost. So back to the initial problem please: It’s a...

Re: Categorization lost when renaming file

Thank you Pierre. This "button" is well hidden, I think;-) Well; I found it and tried it out. But the whole thing led to nothing. First XnView hanged for a while (no response). Afterwards the corresponding files are still shown in the category view with that icon similar to a Windows *.txt-file and ...
