Selecting Multiple Photos, Browser Mode

Subject: 0.90: "Shift selection" malfunctions after returning to browser mode from fullscreen.

XnView: MP 0.90 - 64 bit
OS: Windows 64bit

When trying to hit "shift+left click" to select multiple photos at once, I get a selection that I did not intend.

Effect: The wrong selection is made. User ...

Marking a location on a picture

I'm curious if there is any way to mark a location of a picture with a layer in XnViewMP? Say that I want to draw somebodies attention to a certain location of the photograph, but I want them as a user to be able to toggle the layer on and off.

It'd be sweet if I could just draw a little square or ...

Re: Next File/Previous File Shortcuts no longer working

I think I found the issue. I guess the bug isn't there how I reported it after all. However there 'may be' a different bug that isn't nearly as big of an issue.

The hotkeys that I was using (A, and D) were already assigned to a different command. In previous versions, this hotkey had never been ...

Next File/Previous File Shortcuts no longer working

XnView MP Windows
Version 0.90 64bits (Mar 4 2018)

I have shortcuts setup like a 'gamer.'
A is previous file,
D is next file.

I have this setup in both browser and viewer modes.

With the latest update, the previous/next file shortcuts no longer work. All my other shortcuts still work fine, but ...

Re: Maybe a bug - Fullscreen issue on Mac

Sadly, I don't currently have access to a Mac. This is the behavior I've seen on three separate Mac's though. I'll see if I can hunt down those files for you, but it may be a while.

Functions in Info display

If you go to tools->Settings, and click on "View" then the "Info" tab, there is a box for information displayed, which seems highly customizable.

I'm curious if there is a way to input mathematical equations into this box so that I can display on the fulscreen image a calculation that is based on ...

Focus Point overlay

Is there a way to display on a photograph an overlay of which focus point the camera decided to use to gain focus? (I'm shooting with a Nikon D7200, if that makes a difference)

Thanks!

0.86 (Mac): Click and drag copies instead of moves

XnView: MP 0.86 - 64 bit
OS: Mac 64bit

When clicking and dragging images from the browser window to the file tree, the images are copied to the new location instead of moved there, even though the new location is on the same physical drive.

Effect: Must delete photos from original location, adding ...

Re: Maybe a bug - Fullscreen issue on Mac

Yes, space for cmd_fullscreen.

I've setup my hotkeys very "gameresque" essentially using WADS for my most commonly used functions. Space for fullscreen, a for previous file, d for next file, e for zoom in, q for zoom out, etc. etc.

This allows my left hand to stay in one spot on the keyboard while ...

Re: Copy filename without extension to clipboard.

Thanks all for replying.

Actually, I already am using AutoHotKey, and have that script written. However, I just figured that since the rename dialog box doesn't automatically select the extension, that there might be an easier way already programmed that I didn't know about. I figured that I may be ...

Maybe a bug - Fullscreen issue on Mac

I've setup the shortcut keys so that hitting the spacebar opens an image to fullscreen. On a PC, this allows me to quickly toggle between Fullscreen and the browser window.

However on a Mac, it'll fullscreen, but when I press the spacebar again to go to the browser it seems to close the fullscreen ...

Copy filename without extension to clipboard.

Is there a way to quickly and easily copy the filename without the extension to the clipboard? The two methods I've found are by hitting F2, then ctrl+c, then esc. Which successfully copies the filename without the extension but is 3 key presses.

The other I've found is by assigning "filename(s ...

Missing Exif Data Pane

So, quite a while ago I clicked the x in the upper right corner of the exif data pane (as well as the preview pane, and about 3 other panes I don't remember)

Essentially I now have a folder tree that goes all the way to the bottom of the screen, as well as a browser window. I'm hoping to get the ...
