This bug is still present in XnViewMP 0.94.2. It happens in both Win7 SP1 and Win10 v2004 (Slow Ring).
After some forensics, I determined the culprit to be the option "View scroll the content by thumbnail" in the Browser tab (this option scrolls the contents of the thumbnail browser by one line ...

Re: Priority Files for Folder Thumbnail
Or... you could simply duplicate (copy/paste) your favourite picture and rename it as Folder.ext (jpg|png|whatever).

Re: 0.89: Shortcut for lossless rotation (clockwise) doesn't work
For info: the culprit was the recent edition of AMD Radeon drivers, which by default reserve the combination CTRL+Shift+L for performance monitoring (logging). It's a widespread issue which affects quite a number of applications, thankfully this hotkey is modifiable.

Then I don't understand what went wrong with this software.
Does XnViewMP store its keyboard settings in other places, like the INI file or the Registry? There might be leftovers from previous versions somewhere.

0.89: Shortcut for lossless rotation (clockwise) doesn't work
XnView: MP 0.89 - 64-bit
OS: Windows 7 - 64-bit
Effect: CTRL+Shift+L doesn't do anything in browser and viewer modes. CTRL+Shift+R works as intended.

Re: How to change folder preview thumbs?
Back to the original post suggestion: is it possible to customize the folder by changing its thumbnail with another picture? The popular viewer QuickPic for Android has such a feature (called "Change Cover" in the folder's settings).

Re: Out of memory when recursive viewing 20.000+ videos
I don't know anyone except you who has 20.000 or more video files on his computer. So I still don't see that this is a standard use case. What's is your use case to scroll through 20.000 or more videos?
The memory leak problem doesn't only affect video files, but also pictures.

Multi-core support for thumbnail generation
Hello,
I'm a long time user of XnView, especially as a thumbnail browser, and XnViewMP is very promising. I enjoy its Unicode and 64-bit support. I'm not sure about its multi-core capabilities though. On my Core2 Quad 3 GHz, it seems that thumbnail generation is limited to one core only. The other ...
