Re: Linux - move to trash

The problem persists with 0.93.

I have both glib2 (for gio) and gvfs (for gvfsd) packages installed on Arch Linux.

Files are unlinked directly instead of moved to trash, even though the option to use "recycle bin" is active in settings.

Below is an strace showing that xnview is looking for gvfs ...

Re: [0.92] Resize presets are not saved / restored properly (Linux)

Also, it would be really nice to be able to remove the pre-defined presets completely.
It's really annoying to have to browse through all of them to get to my own every time when I know I would NEVER use any of the default ones.
Even pressing keyboard keys to get to them is annoying, especially ...

[0.92] Resize presets are not saved / restored properly (Linux)

Since 0.92(?), presets saved through the "Resize" dialog box are not restored properly.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open "Resize image" dialog
2. Set any value for parameters
3. Click save preset and enter a name
4. The preset is either saved with the wrong values (none?) or restored with the wrong ...

Re: Linux - move to trash

Thanks for the suggestion, I had thought about it, but it doesn't seem to work. Albeit I haven't tried restarting my xorg server, which is probably what is missing. Is it really working on your end?

Either way, I found another workaround for now which works just fine for me.

Re: Linux - move to trash

Hello, I have the same issue here. My system doesn't have gvfs-trash anymore, only gio-trash.

Files are moved to trash correctly, but they have the date of deletion appended to the base name, before their extension, and moved to trash afterwards.

I had noticed an issue in 0.90 recently, where ...

Re: [Linux] 0.90 takes much longer than usual to start

My bad, after further testing, I realized I had some past workarounds for libfontconfig laying around in my /opt/ directory (some outdated versions where still symlinked).

Reinstalling from scratch fixes the issue!

Sorry for the noise, thanks!

[Linux] 0.90 takes much longer than usual to start

Just upgraded from 0.88 to 0.90 and the startup time is much longer than it should be.

This happens with no .ini file at all (factory reset) with xnview.sh pointing to system libs: strace log attached (xnviewmp_20180403_1951_factory_start.strace)

Same result when starting again a second time ...

Re: [Linux] "Open with" context menu doesn't work (0.88)

Thanks, I have renamed my libIlmImf-2_2.so.22 to libIlmImf-2_2.so.22.BAK and it now starts Gimp just fine!
sudo mv /usr/lib/libIlmImf-2_2.so.22{,.BAK}
For the record, these are now showing up in console (causes no problem):

Re: [Linux] "Open with" context menu doesn't work (0.88)

I had not, my bad!
I have tried with 'feh' and it works just fine indeed.

It must be a quirk of GIMP then. It seems to actually be started judging from the error message below (the "gegl" one, probably not related to xnview), but it exits immediately after.

[Linux] "Open with" context menu doesn't work (0.88)

In Viewer Mode, the Open With context menu fails to start the configured applications with the currently viewed file as argument.

I have tried adding "gimp", "gimp-2.8", "gimp.desktop", and xnviewmp does find the specified paths lstat("/usr/bin/gimp", {st_mode=S_IFLNK|0777, st_size=8, ...}) = 0 but ...

Re: 0.85 Linux: config file path discovery is now messed up -> broken custom keyboard shortcuts!

Oh no, it's perfect don't worry. :)

I was just curious to know what value is set in the .ini file when selecting one or the other option, that's all (if it's actually set in the .ini and not somewhere else).

Sorry for the confusion.
