Hi Pierre,
Yes, reproducable! Everytime! It obviously doesn't work together. At least in my configuration (if nobody else encounters this with PS CS6!). Maybe CS6 is already too outdated and nobody using it anymore, then my cards are bad, if my case is lacking public interest.
So, maybe something ...

Photoshop does not save image when MP has same directory opened
I think this might be worth a bug report, but I could not find any thread about this subject, which makes me insecure. So, I like to find out first if anybody else encouteres the same problem:

Cancel button in dialog for program exit
This happened to me now for at least the 5th time: I doubleclicked on a thumb and watched a pic on a separate tab. Then, for closing the bigger pic again I wrongly clicked on the red x field in the upper right corner of my screen instead of the red x on the pic tab. And I closed the program instead ...

Re: 0.83 x64 Win: No catalog refresh
So F5 must check for orphaned files?
I think there should be some kind of function that brings the DB data to an updated state. If automatically or manually is secondary, I'd say.
Do you have sent a crash report?
I sent a crash report for the "how to loose categories" issue. But in this case ...

0.83 x64 Win: No catalog refresh
Like commented by me within some other threads, I have the feeling the catalog refresh doesn't work properly.
The new case:
I generated a fitered view using a category from the category pane located on the left.

Re: How to lose your categories
To find any regularities in the behavior of the database will take some time. I think perhaps I find time the next days to do some testing. I will report!
But did you try to organize your categories in the way jadO described? What he is writing about is exactly the same that happened to me!

Re: How to lose your categories
In the meantime, I started to understand the interaction of IPTC keywords and categories: Creating a catalog reads the IPTC tags and creates categories from them. But creating a categorie does not automatically create the same keyword within the IPTC tag. I have to use the Ctrl-I dialog for that ...

IPTC keyword tags from categories
When adding a keyword to the IPTC tag of a file, there is automatically created also a category entry for this. It would be nice to have it vice versa too. I understand that somtimes you don't want the category to become a IPTC keyword tag, but therfore a checkbox for switching the automatic feature ...

Re: 0.83: 'Delete all' cached directory not possible
It seems not really clear to me what exactly is stored in the XnView.db file when creating the catalog. I used this because I needed to collect all the IPTC keywords to be transformed into categories. Now when deleting with the "delete all " option indeed a lot of data is deleted from the DB but all ...

Re: Initial scan of directories
Well, tastes might be different, but I found the program was somehow "naked" right after installation. Due to the fact that categories play quite an important roll in administrating photos, and I have to with about 130,000 pictures, I felt a bit lost with only the few keywords collected from the ...

Re: 0.83: 'Delete all' cached directory not possible
When I created a catalog from my complete My Pictures library and used "delete all" most of the masses of directories disappeared from the list but only that handful (a bit more than the window allows to show) stays and was not to delete in any way but one by one. But as soon as I reentered the ...

Re: How to lose your categories
I have the same problem as described in the top posting. I havn't gone any further as I'm afraid to finally destroy some of the real meta data.
But I have also noticed the following:
If you find a picture in the browser that should have a keword assigned that you now miss in the list, the category ...

Re: 2.36: Info-symbol 'Categories' of thumbnail not updated
Yes, I have noticed that too, when working at the categories on top of a larger directory and scrolling down, some of the pictures that should have an indicator, because of already assigens keywords, hadn't.

Re: 0.83: 'Delete all' cached directory not possible
I too would say it's a bug. I notice the same behaviour of that dialog as described by cadu. Also version 0.83 x64 on Win7.
