Linux Cinnamon v. 18.1 In prior versions, one was able to add and manipulate text onto a picture (i.e., "Edit/Add Text") which is now missing. earlier versions of XNView had this capability...why it was removed I don't know. I used to be able to add text to an image (eg, under "Edit" add "text" for a name to the bottom of a photograph for identity), but no more. That was so handy.
