To select the file formats - see screen-shot, OK, just upload is not possible: all buttons are light grey and therefrom not to click at all - is not possible.
Even the right side ...

Re: [REQ] More user friendly check for updates, please

For a paid licence version a direct download with the message "New version available": OK.

For me for private use, the free version, a note is completely enough.

To not have to download on my drive, and not to have to install from there, ..., the history logs of changes on XnView.com, everything ...

Re: GIF animation: Pause/Resume, control speed

Pause and resume would be nice already.

The gif slower and faster, wow.

And with the ability to save the changed speed gif. Without having to do a "Screen Record" for this.

If it is not so much work for programming, I do not know.

This goes into the direction Video-Editing. Where does XnView ...

Re: (big) photo to (more) DIN-A 4, for to save and to send

To split ... ?
Into 2 ... ?

Ok. No.

For example:
From 3 DIN-A4 pages make one photo, or better 3 single photos.

From these photos I want to get the 3 DIN-A4 pages out, on the PC, for to send as attachment with email. This for to print and have as near as a copy. And as near to a FAX as ...

(big) photo to (more) DIN-A 4, for to save and to send

Hi,

once I want to say a big THANK YOU for this very great software.
And the business model with, too.

Perhaps existing, perhaps posted, I do not know, sorry.

Smaller pics than DIN-A4 are to put easily to one DIN-A4 site, I think. I did not needed it, I do not know.

I want a bigger photo ...

Re: How to reduce an image's file size?

What about "Canvas Resize" ? I never tried.

Coming from my question from my topic here
"1.96.5, pic resize does not reduce the file size, in the opposite" http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=35528

Re: 1.96.5, pic resize does not reduce the file size, in opposite

Thanks for the effort.

"saving with higher compression":

I forgot to note, that files about 800 Kb, with reducing Image Resize to 50 %, comes to about 120 Kb, regularly, without changing anything, no compression changes, no extension changes. (Not Canvas Resize.)

This would have been important ...

Re: 1.96.5, pic resize does not reduce the file size, in opposite

"principally by changing the pixel dimensions":

It appears a little bit mixed up.

I am coming from this side:
To reduce the image size means for me, to reduce Width and Height.
(Seeing this, new for me, Units, which I cannot understand what that means, makes me notice, that there is a newer ...

Re: 1.96.5, pic resize does not reduce the file size, in opposite

Thanks for this very fast answer.

Convert from jpg to ... ? To reduce ?

Under "Image" there are 14 points to select.
One is ´DPI set´.
One is ´Size change´. (This is what I use.)

"pixel dimensions ('canvas size') of an image", in german, I cannot find.

"resaving it with higher compression ...
