Not (only) new one
but also (outside of xnview) changed one (name, location).

If the latter are treated as "new", the information that is already in the catalog is retained. So I am asking for a full catalog update.

In the line "Basispfad" is only a backslash like in the screenshot above.

... and what does "browse your folders" mean?
I used "Miniaturbilder neu erstellen". At least no more duplicates are shown now.
But some @-entries come again.

I deleted the base path. Some pictures are still duplicated. But others than before. :(

My analysis: The folder in which the images are located has been renamed. XnView shows the image under the old and new folder-name. None can be opened with a double click. This is only a problem with ...

I see, I can use "relocate" to specify a new path if I
1. have moved a folder and
2. still know which one I have moved.
What about images whose name has been changed, but which are still in the same location?

My problem was different:
I rename (not only move) images (and folders too) outside from ...

Is not a network-path, but another partition of the same PC.
And yes, Im using a "base-folder".

But what ist "relocate"? Im using the german Version. In "Einstellungen/Katalog" I have
"Alle löschen", "Miniaturbilder neu erstellen", "Optimieren" and "Ordner hinzufügen".
"Optimieren (Katalogwartung)" has "Datenbank optimieren", "Daten von leeren Verzeichnissen löschen", "Miniaturbilder löschen ...

I don't know when I defined the "base folder" an what I am doing before.
Is there a possibility of reorganization that removes such duplicates from the catalog?

The progress bar informs me of 245 updates. So many pictures should be in the main directory. How do I trigger the update of all sub-folders too?
