This also occures on fast drives when you open a big (~30MB) gif animation. Confirmed with 0.86 64bit Win7+10.

Tested with folder with 30.000 files -> no crash with XnViewMP 0.86 x64 Win7.

This is not new. Same for me if i filter pictures with the filename-search... but i accepted it, i think this is normal XnView behaviour. Yes. It happens in the Fullscreen and the Viewer Mode. Use the DEL-key on your keyboard. XnView always crashes when double-deleting the last file.
"Delete" is greyed.

The reported problem from Post #1-#5 is fixed in 0.86
