Re: Set or remember preview zoom level

So if there's really nothing in the Settings window to control the preview zoom level on par with View and Full Screen, can this be moved to the Reproduced - To Do forum? Currently 'lock zoom' is only kept in the instance I don't know what Lock Zoom is supposed to do. When it's enabled, I can still ...

Re: Set or remember preview zoom level

It doesn't matter what I pick in the context menu. That's what I meant when I said if I manually select a zoom level, it's forgotten on restart. I've tried every other option, and Right-click → Auto Image Size resets to "Fit image to window, large only" on restart.

Status bar should expand to window width instead of truncating filename

filename_statusbar.jpg In this example, I can't read the filename because it doesn't fit on the thumbnail or the status bar. It also looks like XnView Classic made better use of the space; XnView MP wastes about 50% of the window width on blank space. I fixed it by adding maxCharsFilename=256 to th...

Set or remember preview zoom level

I want "Fit image to window" for both the preview and fullscreen, which is how it works in Classic. I don't see how to do this in Xnview MP 0.96.1 x64. Settings → Fullscreen → Auto image size: Fit image to window This works fine. Settings → View → Auto image size: Fit image to window This has no eff...

Hide the Quick Search box

Hello,

Is it possible to hide the Quick Search box? I never use it, but I do need the path box, which gets squished to the point of almost being unusable.

2.30 crashes and corrupt display of images saved by MPC-HC

Windows 7 x64 SP1 with the latest updates XnView 2.30 This issue is new in this version. 2.25 works fine. For your convenience, I'm attaching a sample image, so you can skip the steps to reproduce 1–3. 1. Start MPC-HC x64 1.7.8 . 2. Open a video file. 3. Open the File menu and choose Save Thumbnails...

MP 0.38.7 Win: Incorrect font used

XNViewMP 0.38.7 Windows 7 x64 (English US) Note: though the screenshot shows XNViewMP 0.35 x64, I have tested in 0.38.7 x86 and there's no difference. I originally had this problem with Japanese text. If you'll look at the Japanese text, you'll see XnViewMP doesn't use the appropriate font. Compare ...

Re: Square and circle thumbnail overlay icons

That's too bad for me. Anyone else care to test please? Delete or rename %AppData%\XNViewMP while XNViewMP is closed. Tools > Settings > Browser > Thumbnail > Overlay icons . Uncheck every option, from from the top left downwards and to the right (i.e. Shortcut, Automatic Rotation, Embedded Thumbnai...

The layout seems to stick in 0.38. Thank you.

Re: Square and circle thumbnail overlay icons

Upgraded to 0.38. Now I can't get rid of them again. After restarting, the XMP and EXIF icons went away, but I'm still stuck with that square and circle.

Re: MP 0.35 Win: Layout not remembered

No comment from the author, especially since another user noticed the same issue? :( Looking back at my screenshot, I see another potential bug in there. Look at the Japanese text: XnViewMP doesn't use the appropriate font. Compare with XnView started through AppLocale (because it doesn't support Un...

Re: MP 0.35 Win: Layout not remembered

Bad news. I've given XnViewMP another go, this time making sure the window is not maximized. Same result. Screenshots to illustrate:

Re: Square and circle thumbnail overlay icons

How strange. That was the first thing I tried and it didn't help. Now I can't get the icons to show even if I check all the options on that page.

I guess as long as they stay gone it's not a problem :) Thank you.
