Re: Ignore rating of new files in XMP Matadata
Yes, I can confirm that the problem was fixed in XnView MP 1.8.7.
The solution with the table-like structure is great. A nice idea that I really like.

1.5.5+: Rating of Images within archives (zip and rar) is not possible
Hi!
Version : XnViewMP 1.5.5 64 bit
OS : Linux 64bit
I don't know if this is a bug or if it belongs in the Suggestions section.
But I have noticed that a rating can't be set for images within an archive. As the archive function does not work for versions 1.6.0 to 1.8.7, I have noticed this ...

What do you mean exactly? Do you mean XnView_MP-1.8.6-linux-x64.tgz? Or do you mean a plugin? Is the code of tgz and AppImage different? Whatever you want - i can try it some hours later.

Re: Ignore rating of new files in XMP Matadata
Now I'm a bit confused. The option ('Settings>Metadata>Import rating') does not exist for me.
There are only two options for exporting (rating and color label).
An option to import them would be really great.
ciao

Ignore rating of new files in XMP Matadata
Hello, I wanted to address a rating issue again after a long time, now that I am working more often with this wonderful software again.
In the current version 1.8.6 my problem still seems to exist:
The rating (and color label) of new files is automatically imported and cannot be disabled (https ...

Re: Batch convert: remove rating/label
Yes, but the problem is:
I have hundreds of files with rating or label data. Because of this bug https://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=36465 the files got wrong rating in XnViewMP. So a workaround would be to remove or set every rating/label from all files. But this must work in an ...

Batch convert: remove rating/label
Hi,
is there a way to remove or change ratings or labels from the XMP-Info of a file.
I searched in BatchConvert but found nothing (BatchConvert > AddAction > IPTC-IIM/XMP)
Many thanks

Re: 0.87: Wrong sorting of pictures with XMP metadata
yes, you're right. The option "Import XMP subject..." works correctly with DB Categories but not for rating/label. Rating/Label are imported every time - independently from enabling or disabling the option.
small Question: :-)
Is this bug a big one to correct?
Do you have a rough estimate, when the ...

Re: 0.87: Wrong sorting of pictures with XMP metadata
Yes, I disabled the following option:
"Import XMP subject or IPTC keyword to DB Categories"
But the pictures were assigned to DB Categories nevertheless. And the pictures were rated and got numbers from 1 to 5 or a colour label - if there is a corresponding XMP-data in the file.

Export for nconvert: align option does not work
Hi again!
I have detected the same problem with "Align histogram" as with http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=36163
Following command doesn't work:
./nconvert -align 0 200 0 -o outfile.jpg infile.jpg
