Can't reproduce either now. I'm on Arch Linux, no idea why it did not work a few months back. Everything's working fine now.

Re: Most scaling algorithms remove alpha channel when resizing an image
i can't reproduce, could you send me a sample image? Yes, I also could not reproduce this issue until I found the image I originally had the problem with. It's just 17x17 pixels in size, but it's not the size that causes this, since the issue can not be reproduced after reencoding the image with Xn...

Option to limit selection window to multiple of 8 pixels in width and height when cropping
Other factors like 2, 4, 16, 32 should ideally be supported too.

Most scaling algorithms remove alpha channel when resizing an image
With scaling methods Hermite, Gaussian, Bell, BSpline, Mitchell, Lanczos and Hanning the alpha channel gets removed when resizing an image.
Only Nearest Neighbor and Bilinear work as expected and preserve the alpha channel.

Re: Please add additional JPEG encoders like MozJPEG and Guetzli!
+1 for MozJPEG Guetzli is good at compression, but takes literally forever to encode with, neither supports progressive encoding nor color profiles. MozJPEG is about as good at compression and supports the other 2 things I mentioned while being a lot faster than Guetzli. Couldn't this be implemente...

Background encoding when using export option
I really like the export option of XnView MP, but I hate that I can't click anything while my picture is encoded. For small pictures, this is not a problem, as encoding is really quick, but when you want to export an immensely big picture this can take up to many minutes depending on the settings. E...

Please add additional JPEG encoders like MozJPEG and Guetzli!
It would be nice if you could add the option to change the encoder in JPEG settings.

Re: FLIF file format support for MP
I am still waiting for FLIF implementation in XnView MP!
I had to install the classic XnView just to be able to look at FLIF files.

Add transparency color option when saving/exporting to supported formats.
Saving pictures with a transparent color is not possible with XnView at the moment, so I have to use IrfanView for this.
Please add transparent color options to the save and export screen for supported formats.
