Re: Display JPEG quality / compression level in info box
I just installed 0.98.2 x64 on windows and the problem still exists as you can see here, the Estimated Quality is reported in the Properties dialog but not through the codes to display info on image viewing screen (Show Information Icon). As you may see I did configure a pretty complete Information ...

Duplicate dialog box on moving/copying
It would be great (and IMHO a must) to have more info on that dialog like Description, Embedded comment and category labels of each, and maybe size.

True. However if Pierre adds the possibility of using a key modifier for zooming (i.e. crtl ) you could use both...HanVroon wrote:Because that eliminates the possibility to zoom in/out with the wheel while in Fulls screen mode.

Since moving to next previous is the most used of both I would say the other way around...xnview wrote:so by default Wheel=>Zoom, Ctrl+Wheel=>Next/previous file?

Re: Comments: Descript.ion & Embedded
Hello all,
Also, as a user requested a few years ago, it would be nice to be able to edit the comment just double clicking on the column itself as it was possible with acdsee classic. He was responded with a question by Pierre, who had a doubt and he didn't answer back to him, hence the request ...

Re: XnView portable version with Ghostscript
There is a Portable Apps ghostscript 9.15. So if you have U:\really\weird\apps\XnViewPortable the application directory of XnView would be U:\really\weird\apps\XnViewPortable\App\XnView, and ghostscript should be in U:\really\weird\apps\TBD1\App\TBD2.

Re: 0.83: Mouse wheel doesn't zoom in/out by default
I think that XnView MP and XnView Classic should behave the same way if possible.
Personally, I'd prefer if mouse wheel would zoom in/out by default. Other opinions (apart from thibaud and mine)? Is there a de-facto standard?

Re: 0.83: Mouse wheel doesn't zoom in/out by default
you call for an uniformisation of behavior between same author's software.
I'd call for un standardisation of behavior in regard to what the majority of similar software propose (about every other image viewer I know uses the mouse wheel to next/prev)
Agreed. Mouse wheel while pressed could do ...

Re: Fullscreen: Navigation with left-right mouse button
Besides the sections categories, rating and other database stuff in XnViewMP I could rate myself as "XnThusiast", so I know about the playbar.
My suggestion would be for those who want a clean fullscreen view without anything on it, not even temporary while the pointer is moved, like the playbar ...

Re: Fit Window to Image
Some people want either a borderless image viewer or at least one that has nothing but the simple Windows border and title bar. I think it's really simple to understand. A minimal way of viewing images and scrolling through a directory is great for some of us. Since this feature is in XnView ...

Hello all,
As a long time user of acdsee from the early days (1.x classic in win 95 i believe) which moved out of it and into XnView long ago (and very happy about it) I have a suggestion which is of special usefulness for image collectors. Descript.ion support has been a favorite feature for me ...
