I can confirm that the issue is resolved in 0.90, as far as the zoom problem goes! :D :D :D

The Forward/Backwards problem remains (in my mouse at least) but i don't mind at all, because i use mouse buttons for that action!!!

All the mouses i have tried, are with an actual wheel.

It is less pronounced, but still needs 2-3 wheel mouse "clicks" to advance or go back.

Sorry, there was a typo in my previous post! :? The last version of the zoom function working properly, is 0.84 . Every subsequent version has the same lag problem, including the latest 0.89. FYI, I also run a Windows virtual machine in my MacOS Sierra, which has the latest 0.89 version installed ...

Since version 0.87, my mouse wheel "lags". It takes almost three full wheel turns to execute a zoom step, scroll, or to go to the next picture (per interface/mouse settings) I am on a Mac. I have tested this on several mouses. Every other application is working fine.
