I am writing about the old problem again:
Make "Save As" -> copy the part of the file name to the clipboard (Ctrl + C).
The program hangs.
If something else is copied to the clipboard in another program or place, then the program hang are passes.

But under the ubuntu 16.04 it doesn't work (actually on Mint 18.3). Error persists.

You can check it very simple:
Choose "save as", highlight the file name and copy it to the clipboard - you'll see what will happen!
